Full Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Marrakech
Fly from London (regional connections available) to Marrakech with British Airways. Transfer to the Palm Plaza (or similar) for 3 nights, situated close to the bustling Djemaa el Fna square. Enjoy a welcome dinner with the group in a nearby restaurant. (D)
Day 2: Marrakech
Full-day tour of Marrakech. Visit the 12th-century Koutoubia mosque with its 76-metre-high minaret, explore the city ramparts, and visit the Medersa Ben Youssef, dating back to the 14thcentury and still a Qur’an school today. Continue to the intriguing Bahia Palace before enjoying lunch at leisure. After lunch spend the afternoon exploring the famous Djemaa el Fna square and the souks. (B, D)
Day 3: Marrakech
Day at leisure for relaxation or for further exploration of the walled medieval city. Dinner and show at the famous Chez Ali. (B, D)
Day 4: Atlas Mountains
Morning departure for the foothills of the High Atlas, meeting Berber inhabitants along the way, where you can watch them prepare a traditional lunch for you to enjoy. Stay at Domaine La Roseraie (or similar) for 2 nights. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Atlas Mountains
Day at leisure to explore your surroundings and the outstanding views. Join an optional cooking class at your hotel. (B, D)
Day 6: Essaouira
Drive to the seaside fishing town of Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, a historic settlement with sandy beaches. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (own expense) before taking a cultural city tour to see the battery, the marina and the ramparts. Stay at the Atlas Essaouira & Spa (or similar) for 2 nights. (B)
Day 7: Essaouira
Day at leisure to explore Essaouira, with its Portuguese fortifications and picturesque harbour. The town’s walled medina conceals a labyrinth of streets lined with stalls, craft shops, restaurants and riads, which are ideally explored on foot. Farewell dinner this evening. (B, D)
Day 8: Fly to London
Transfer to Marrakech airport for your flight home with British Airways. (B)
