Peter Giles - Owner

Peter Giles is the joint owner of World Market Travel with his brother Tim. He has spent 50 years of his working life in tourism. He started his travel agency career with Thomas Cook in Bath when package holidays were in their infancy and since then has seen many changes in the travel industry.

During his time in travel Peter has travelled the world including forty trips to Australia. His wealth of travel knowledge is now used at his own Bath travel agency where he arranges holidays by appointment which enables you at no extra charge to talk your holiday plans over with him.

Peter and his wife have just completed a 6 week tour of Australia to put together a perfect itinerary covering much of the east coast and Ayers rock.  The visit started in Sydney with a 6 night stopover with excursions including the famous Sydney Bridge climb.  After Sydney it was off by hire car to Brisbane with stops en route . Onwards to Hamilton Island and Hayman Island which are both incredible resorts in the Whitsunday Passage. Visits were made from there to Whitehaven Beach and snorkelling locations. Following this up to Cairns for an 8 night stay in Port Douglas with excursoins to the Barrier Reef and White water rafting.  The next highlight was Uluru staying at the luxury hotel Longtitude enabling a direct view of the rock from your room.  Excursions are made to the rock base and the Olgas plus a luxury dinner under the stars in the outback.

Peter believes there is an excellent future for his type of travel agency as there is no better way of arranging a holiday than through personal contact and knowledge.
